I love to cook, especially bake.  I especially like old-fashioned recipes and cooking techniques.  I learned to cook from my mother and grandmother as a child and I treasure every memory I have cooking with them!

In addition to cooking, I also love to travel.  I've found that I've learned so much about cooking during my travels.  In each destination I've traveled to, I've purchased a cookbook featuring local cuisine and cooking methods.  I also attempt to try as many local restaurants as I can when I travel.

In addition to visiting many of the lower 48 states, I've been to Alaska, Hawaii, 5 Caribbean islands, Mexico, Europe and Canada.  Cruising is my favorite way to travel.  I have been on 9 cruises and more are in the works!  My favorite place to cruise is to Alaska.
